Rebel Live Actions #4
Performance Art Festival 2024
BangKok - Chumseang Nakhon Sawan, Thailand

It all started with my long-term performance project "If We Open" which was first performed in my hometown, Nha Trang. The process of growing up and the fragmented memories from my family, especially the disadvantaged women in society, are the foundation for this project. I tell stories about their anxiety, about their fragile existence in both their family and the larger society.
Recently, I have expanded this journey, delving into the stories of oppressed people, not only in my family but also in the social context. Life around me is still full of bloody and tearful wars, while the history of the place where I live is also marked by pain. I only know those stories through the pages of history books when I was in school. But it is those memories that have aroused in me a curiosity and a desire to explore things that have not been written, not been said, things that are easily forgotten.
I wonder:
If no one remembers, if no one learns, if all is forgotten and turned away in a moment. How can the world be a better place if tomorrow no one remembers these things?
